About Suzanne

Suzanne Young-Turcotte is the Content Specialist for Shop To Stop Slavery. Having been a part of the website since its inception, she officially joined the team as its Content Specialist in August 2011. She creates blogs, press releases, articles, monthly newsletters and web content, as well as taking care of other copywriting tasks as needed.

A former CEO and language trainer, Suzanne has spent the past four years focusing on her commercial writing ventures and volunteer roles, in order to be available to her two sons, aged 6 and 8. She and her French-Canadian husband Sylvain live in Northeast Florida with their family.

Suzanne and Shop To Stop Slavery founder Robin Rossmanith met in 2005 as members of the same MOPS (Mothers of Preschoolers) group. After Robin left the group, they stayed in contact and it was Robin who began to enlighten Suzanne and many others about the atrocities of human trafficking.

Says Suzanne “I was amazed that my friend Robin was taking on such a seemingly huge issue. She was striving to find solutions for a problem that so many of us are unaware of. ” When Robin started thinking about increasing her effectiveness in reaching others, she and Suzanne began to talk about the possibilities of a blog. That dream became reality in the Spring of 2010.
