S’more Fair Trade Chocolate Please

I love S’mores. I don’t know if it reminds me of childhood or if it is just the gooey melting marshmallow and chocolate combo. Regardless these days I make sure my S’mores are dripping with fair trade chocolate candy bars. What I use depends on where I have been shopping and what is on sale. Here are some varieties that I use when making a Fair Trade Chocolate S’mores:

Green and Black’s (fair trade certified) – I can find mine at the local Publix or GrassRoots Natural Food Market

Endangered Species Chocolate (ethical trade) – I can find these candy bars at my local Publix & Whole Foods, but you can buy online.

Equal Exchange – I buy these at local church events, especially United Methodist and Presbyterian events.

Divine Chocolate – Found at my local natural food store.

Coco-Zen – Online fair trade chocolate retailer. You can get a perfect square for your S’more!

For a variety of fair trade chocolate brand online visit The Natural Candy Store.

  1. Trader Joe’s (they have Fair Trade milk and dark chocolate bars for $1.99), Whole Foods (their own Fair Trade brand, Equal Exchange, Green & Blacks, etc.) , Ten Thousand Villages (Equal Exchange) and sometimes Busch’s Market has Green & Black.
